[ So wrapped up in the spectacle, the usually always alert Rex is caught unawares. He starts, back shooting straight from his leaning forward, on the edge of his seat pose.

He stays like that for a second before settling back to a more relaxed posture. He doesn't attempt to dislodge her. Perhaps surprisingly a disinclination to touch isn't one of his many issues. If it makes her happy, why object? He raises his arm onto the backrest so she can be more comfortable if she's going to get close. With how deep his voice is, she'll probably just as much feel his answer as hear it. ]

I'm not sure it's the subject matter, but the spectacle of it. It's fascinating, the way they build anticipation and make a drama of something so simple.

Though I do admire nature. Animals have a purity to them in their struggles. Clashing without malice. How enviable.
